Former INLA leader's son remanded on explosives charges
The son of a former INLA leader Dominic McGlinchey, has today been remanded in custody in connection with the discovery of explosives in County Londonderry in July.
Declan McGlinchey, 30, Gulladuff Road in Bellaghy, appeared in Londonderry Magistrates Court this morning charged with possessing an explosive device and making explosives with intent to endanger life. He denied the charges.
Mr McGlinchey was remanded in custody and will appear in court via video-link on November 14.
His solicitor said he would be making an application for bail in the High Court.

Two remanded in custody over weapons find
Two people from south Belfast have been remanded in custody charged with the possession of weapons and explosives. The court heard that eight handguns, a semi-automatic rifle, 1,500 rounds of ammunition, 18 kilos of commercial explosives and a detonator were discovered at a house in Burmah Street in Belfast on Friday.

A man has appeared in court today in Belfast in connection with 105 burglaries across Northern Ireland. James Meneely, 38, from Rogan Manor in the city was arrested by police officers investigating the burglaries in Belfast, Newcastle and Coleraine. The charges relate to mainly private houses. He was remanded in custody until later in April.

Accused denies sex attack charges
A 27-year-old man has appeared in Omagh Magistrates Court today charged with the rape of a 72-year-old woman. Robert John Clyde, of Johnston Terrace, in County Tyrone, was remanded in custody when he appeared in Court. He was charged with having unlawful sexual intercourse with the pensioner at her home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
