Pair remanded over attempted murder charge

Two teenagers have appeared in Downpatrick Magistrates court charged with attempted murder.

The pair, a 16-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons and Michael Joseph Topping, 18, from Greer Park Heights in Belfast, were charged in connection with an attack on a 17-year-old male at Primrose Hill, in the Saintfield Road area of Carryduff in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They were remanded in custody and will appear via video-link at Castlereagh Court on February 23.

Three other youths who were arrested in connection with the attack, have since been released without charge.

The victim is currently in a “serious” condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

A 29-year-old man is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court later today charged with attempted murder. The charge is connected with a shooting incident in the Stewartstown Road area of west Belfast last Wednesday, during which a 26-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.

Man Remanded In Custody Following Stabbing Attack
A man accused of attempting to kill a woman at her home in north Belfast has been remanded in custody. Adam Ingram, 20, appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court today and faces counts of attempted murder and aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievously bodily harm.

Donaldson and his wife Eleanor appeared at Newry Magistrates' Court today, 03 July. The charges against Donaldson include 13 counts of indecent assault on a female child and four counts of gross indecency toward a child.
