Man remanded in custody following Bangor murder
A man has been remanded in custody for three weeks after being charged with the murder of a man in Bangor at the weekend.
William Moore, 34, also known as 'Billy the Boxer', is accused of killing Richard Hamill at a house party in the early hours of Sunday.
Mr Hamill was shot dead in the bathroom of a house at St Gallen Court in the Whitehill estate, Bangor.
Mr Moore, from Rathgill Court in Bangor, also faces unrelated charges of being a member of a proscribed organisation.
He voluntarily gave himself up to police yesterday after being named as a suspect following the murder.
The accused made no reply when the murder charge was read out to him at Bangor Magistrates Court.

Bangor man charged with murder remanded in custody
A 36-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a woman in Co Down on Monday. David Jones, 36, of Lismore Avenue in Bangor appeared before Downpatrick Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with killing Pauline McConnell, 41, whose body was found in a ground floor flat at Lismore Avenue on the Whitehill estate in Bangor.

Miss Hughes, a mother of one, was fatally stabbed during a house party at Park Avenue in the town on Easter Monday. Appearing at Downpatrick Magistrates Court, Mark Wallace from Elmwood Drive, in Bangor, spoke only to confirm his name.
