Woman held at knifepoint during robbery

A woman has been held at knifepoint during a robbery at a convenience store in Lurgan, County Armagh.

The incident took place at 8.15pm last night, at a shop in Sloan Street, when two men entered and demanded cash.

One of the men went behind the counter and held a large knife to the shop assistants throat.

Police are appealing for a female customer who was in the store at the time of the incident, to contact them.

Meanwhile, three men robbed an off licence in India Street, in Belfast.

The men entered Russell’s Cellars shortly before 10pm yesterday evening. One was armed with a claw hammer, the other with a knife.

They threatened the member of staff before making off with an undisclosed sum of money in the direction of the Holylands.

Armed robbery at east Belfast newsagents
Police in east Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a newsagents yesterday evening. The incident happened at around 7.30pm, when two men, one of whom was armed with what is believed to have been a handgun, entered the shop on the Upper Newtownards road and threatened staff.

Shop Worker Attacked In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information after a shop worker was attacked and threatened in L'Derry. The incident happened at a shop on the Temple Road in Strathfoyle Village at around 9.30pm on Saturday, 14 July. The worker was hit on the head and threatened at knifepoint. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene.

Shops Damaged In Bangor, Co Down
A number of shops in Bangor's town centre have been damaged in an attack. Police have said the incident occurred in Main Street in the town in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Windows were smashed at a number of properties, including The Mortgage Shop, Asda and Boots, while damage was also caused to vehicles in the area.

Two Men Arrested After Knife Held To Man's Throat In Ballymena
Two men have been arrested after a man was awoke from his sleep by intruders who held a knife to his throat and demanded money. The incident happened at a house in the Cardiff Drive area of Ballymena in the early hours of Thursday morning, 09 December. Police described the incident as "distressing".
