Snow Patrol to headline Oxegen festival
Ulster rockers Snow Patrol have been announced as the headline act for this year’s Oxegen Festival at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas.
The North Down band has signed up to headline the main stage at the two-day festival, which will take place on July 7 and 8.
Last year Oxegen was the fastest selling music event in the Irish music calendar, and it is expected tickets will sell out this year in record time.
Other acts confirmed to play so far are Brit Award winners Amy Winehouse, Muse, James Morrison and The Fratellis.
US-based bands such as Scissor Sisters, My Chemical Romance and The Goo Goo Dolls will also be playing.
It is believed more than 100 acts will be involved in the event, with more names to be revealed closer to the time.
Tickets will be released for general sale at 8.00 am on Friday, 2 March.
A day ticket will cost 96.50 Euro, two-day tickets without camping will cost 177.50 Euro and a weekend camping ticket will cost 197.50 Euro.
