Rent-IT Systems UK's 123mrp.NET wins double award
123mrp.NET wins double whammy at Best of British Manufacturing IT Awards
123mrp.NET, the production management software from Rent-IT Systems UK Ltd, has been announced as both the winner of the Manufacturing/Business Management category as well as the overall winner of the Best of British Manufacturing IT Awards.
The event, held on 23rd May at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire, was organised by Manufacturing Computer Solutions publication. The prestigious awards have provided a massive boost to the software’s Irish distributor QM Systems based in Carrickfergus.
The annual Best of British Manufacturing IT challenge is aimed at recognising the very best IT strategies and implementations in British manufacturing industry. They promote the critical business value of IT in underpinning and enabling superior business processes, competitiveness and profitability for UK plc. The awards are judged by an independent panel of leading figures in the industry from companies such as Cambashi, Accenture and Arc Advisory Group.
Rent IT were nominated due to the successful installation of 123mrp.NET at Delta Design. Considerable savings were achieved – paper was reduced by 30%, stock inaccuracies reduced by 85% and general errors cut by half. The business grew by 15%, yet due to further efficiency was able to achieve this with the same number of staff. Richard Battersby, Managing Director of Delta Design was also the Chairman of his former MRP system’s official user group. He commented; “The reason we chose 123mrp.NET is that I felt we could forge a relationship with a supplier who understood our needs, which had a good generic product that could be tailored to our business. I could see what the up-front costs would be; there was nothing hidden. I like the rental model as we can budget precisely. I never got the impression that the company would take our money, sell us further consultancy at every opportunity, especially given that we can walk away at any time.”
Rent IT was nominated as overall winner due to a clear demonstration of ROI achievements, competing against companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, UGS, Autodesk and Sage.
Guy Amoroso, Managing Director for Rent-IT Systems UK Limited, commented; “We feel that these two awards marks a turning in the tide of traditional thinking in relation to software. Companies are coming to realise that paying tens of thousands of pounds up front with no guarantee of success is not a good business decision and is no longer the only option. We have built our business on putting the customer first. They attend an Evaluation Workshop and can then send as many staff on training without risk – if they decide not to implement 123mrp.NET then they don’t pay a penny.”
Drew McCoubrey, Managing Director of QM Systems added; “We became the official dealer of the 123mrp.NET software in February 2007 and since then we have set about marketing the software to local companies through our workshops. This double award has vindicated our belief in the product and the business model it is supplied on with its Low Cost – No Risk approach. We would strongly recommend any local manufacturing company thinking of implementing or upgrading their Production Management System to attend one of our regional workshops in order to see for themselves the benefits on offer.”
