Two questioned by police about doorstep stabbing
Police have confirmed that two people arrested in the Tullycarnet area are being questioned about the murder of a man on his own doorstep in east Belfast last year.
Forty-six-year-old Arthur Berryman was stabbed to death when he opened the front door of his house off the Woodstock Road in Belfast.
Mr Berryman was stabbed several times and his wife was injured when a knife-wielding man forced his way into the couple's home on October 31 2001.
Police said that the man and woman were arrested on Tuesday in the Tullycarnet estate near Dundonald in east Belfast.

Two men die in separate stabbing incidents
Two people have been killed in separate stabbing incidents in Northern Ireland over the weekend. Hugh McKibben, 51, of Main Street in Carrowdore died in a stabbing incident at a house on Inisharoan Court about midnight on Sunday May 5. Four people were arrested following his murder but three have since been released on police bail.

Man Released On Bail Over College Stabbing Incident
A man, 20, who was arrested in connection with a stabbing at a college in Belfast has been released on bail. Police said the man was released pending further enquiries. A 26-year-old is currently in hospital following the incident at Belfast Metropolitan College on Thursday. His condition is described as serious but stable.

Inspector Donna McGrady said police were alerted at about 1.15am by a member of the public on Bedford Street to a fight going on in the area.

Man arrested following east Belfast stabbing
Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in the Mount area of East Belfast. The victim, a 42-year-old man, sustained a stab wound to the chest and was taken to hospital where his description is described as "serious but stable." The attack occurred at around 8.20am on Monday.

Man Dies In East Belfast
An investigation has been launched following the death of a man in east Belfast. Police said the man passed away in the Kings Road area on Thursday evening, 17 October. Reports have emerged of a stabbing in the area, but police have not released any further details at this stage.
