Murdered Greengrocer Laid To Rest

The funeral of murdered greengrocer Harry Holland took place in west Belfast today.

Shops on the Glen Road closed as a mark of respect as the service took place at St Matthias' Church, also on the Glen Road.

Mr Holland was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver, near his home in Norfolk Drive, west Belfast, as he tried to prevent his delivery van from being stolen last Tuesday night.

Mr Holland's body will be buried in the city Cemetery.

A 16-year-old boy appeared in court on Monday charged with the murder of Mr Holland.

Brendan Megraw To Buried Alongside Parents
The funeral will take place today of Brendan Megraw, one of the Disappeared. Mr Megraw's remains were found in October in a bog in Co Meath, some 36 years after he was abducted, murdered and secretly buried by the IRA. He was 23-years-old. Mr Megraw's body was returned to his family this week.

Man Dies In Hospital Following Killough Collision
The PSNI have named a man who has died following a collision in Killough on Tuesday, 05 September, as Robert Wiserman. Mr Wiseman, who was aged in his 70s, was driving a grey coloured Peugeot 3008 car which was involved in a collision with a blue coloured New Holland Tractor on the Downpatrick Road area.

Funeral Of Murdered Prison Officer Takes Place In North Belfast
Hundreds of mourners gathered to attend the funeral of murdered prison officer Adrian Ismay. Mr Ismay, 52, died after being injured by a bomb which went off under the van he was driving on Hillsborough Drive on 04 March. He died as a direct result of the injuries he sustained during the explosion.

Polish Pizza Gun Victim 'Recovering' After Surgery
On the same day as the bodies of the two soldiers shot dead in Antrim last weekend were being flown back home to England, it was announced that one of the pizza delivery men seriously injured by Real IRA gunmen during the same deadly attack is recovering well.

West Belfast Death 'Was Murder'
A weekend tragedy is now being investigated by the PSNI as a murder. The inquiry has been launched following the news that 55-year-old Seamus Holland was found badly injured in west Belfast on Sunday. The victim was lying on the floor of his home in Upton Court and had sustained injuries to the head and face.
