MP blames IRA for Armagh attacks
Northern Ireland's former deputy first minister Seamus Mallon has said the IRA were behind a vicious attack on a young man in south Armagh.
The man, 22-year-old Kieran Toner, was setting up his mobile chip van outside a pub in Camlough on Tuesday night when a gang attacked him.
His vehicle was rammed by another vehicle and he was then dragged around the side of the pub and beaten.
He suffered broken arms, a broken leg and puncture wounds. His car was then driven away by one of the assailants and set on fire outside his home.
The brother of the victim, Stephen Toner said in an interview today the IRA had demanded protection money from Kieran. Stephen said his brother had refused to hand over money to the paramilitaries and that was the reason for the attack.
The SDLP MP for Newry and Armagh for the area, Seamus Mallon, said it was the second brutal attack in south Armagh recently. Mr Mallon said: "I have no doubt that what happened yesterday and what happened in Crossmaglen when a young man was so savagely beaten was either carried out by those who were sanctioned by the IRA or by the IRA themselves.
"This doesn't happen in County Armagh unless it is done with the blessing of that paramilitary group."

PSNI 'Consider Omagh Retrial'
The PSNI are examining the possibility of a retrial of a South Armagh man originally cleared of involvement in the Omagh bombing. South Armagh man Sean Hoey was cleared of murdering of 29 people in Omagh, at the end of his trial in December 2007, which failed to secure any convictions against those charged with the devastating attack.

Co Armagh man to stand trial over Omagh deaths
A 36-year-old man has been committed for trial for the murders of the 29 people killed in the 1998 Omagh bombing. Sean Hoey, of Molly Road, Jonesborough, denies the charges and others connected to other Real IRA attacks including one in 2001.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
