Couple escape injury following gun attacks

A man and woman have escaped injury following two gun attacks on the same day in Craigavon.

The couple were first approached on Monday afternoon by two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a shotgun, on the Drumgor Road in the town. One of the men attempted to fire on the couple but the gun jammed. The men then fled in the direction of the Legahory estate.

After the couple reported the incident to police they returned home in Enniskeen. However, a short time later a shotgun blast was fired through the kitchen window of their house.

One man has been arrested in connection to the incident.

Police have appealed for the group of people who were standing on the Drumgor Road at the entrance to Upper Enniskeen at around the time of the second attack to come forward.
