Couple escape injury following gun attacks
A man and woman have escaped injury following two gun attacks on the same day in Craigavon.
The couple were first approached on Monday afternoon by two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a shotgun, on the Drumgor Road in the town. One of the men attempted to fire on the couple but the gun jammed. The men then fled in the direction of the Legahory estate.
After the couple reported the incident to police they returned home in Enniskeen. However, a short time later a shotgun blast was fired through the kitchen window of their house.
One man has been arrested in connection to the incident.
Police have appealed for the group of people who were standing on the Drumgor Road at the entrance to Upper Enniskeen at around the time of the second attack to come forward.

Two men remanded in custody over burglary charges
Two men have appeared in court today charged with aggravated burglary. The men, Patrick Joseph Quinn, aged 17, from Whitecliff Parade, and Sean Paul Reid, 19, from Divismore Crescent, both Belfast, appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court in connection with an incident at Norfolk Drive in the west of the city on Monday. At around 12.

Couple Die In Omagh Crash
A couple, aged in their 70s, have died in a crash in Omagh. The collision, between a car and a lorry, happened on the Doogary Road just before 3pm on Monday, 03 September. The man and woman died at the scene of the crash. The lorry driver was not injured.

Family escape injury in gun attack
Police are appealing for information after a couple and their two children escaped injury in a gun attack in Co Antrim early this morning. The family were in their house at Ballymacrea Road, Portrush, when a gang tried to force their way in through the front door shortly after midnight.

Police appeal following burglary
Police are appealing for information following a burglary in south Belfast on Sunday. Money and jewellery were stolen from an elderly couple's home in Thalia Street while they were staying with friends. The couple returned later that day to discover the break-in.
