The women received injuries when an acid bomb was allegedly thrown from the nationalist Clandeboye Drive area into the loyalist Cluan Place on the Albertbridge Road.

Shortly afterwards, a pipe bomb was thrown over the peace wall from Cluan Place, landing in the garden of a Catholic home. No injuries were reported.

Stone and fireworks were also thrown from both sides of the interface during the rioting which started at around 10pm last night.
