Tyrone Win Sam
The Sam Maguire Trophy is coming across the border today after the Tyrone team produced a barnstorming finish to beat Kerry 1-15 to 0-14 in Sunday's All-Ireland Football final and lift the coveted trophy at Croke Park. The teams traded points in the first half and Kerry led by one point, 0-8 to 0-7, at the interval. Tommy McGuigan kicked the ball into the net for a goal a minute into the second half and Tyrone led by three points before Kerry fought back to lead. The Red Hands then scored five unanswered points to claim a four-point win. Thousands of Tyrone fans are preparing to welcome their team home after this third win in six years. Tyrone manager Mickey Harte said winning was "a fantastic feeling". "It's what people play gaelic games for," he said.
Executive 'Needs To Meet', Says NIO Boss
The Stormont Executive needs to meet, Secretary of State Shaun Woodward has told the Labour Party conference. He said he believed the parties had the will to overcome their differences on policing and that devolution can be completed within 12 months. Mr Woodward told the conference that the transfer of policing powers was a "difficult final step" for unionists and trust had to be built.
Irish Concerned Over Aer Lingus Cutbacks
Although a spokesperson was not available for comment at the weekend, it is reported that the Irish Tanaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Coughlan has been expressing her concerns about proposed cost-saving measures at national airline, Aer Lingus. The news comes as the incoming Chairman of Aer Lingus said that the company's board is "unanimous" behind a plan to cut costs at the airline - by €100m next year - although union sources claimed the carrier's chiefs were "far from decided, let alone unanimous". Aer Lingus moved a major part of its operation from Shannon to Belfast earlier this year and has just recently claimed to be operating successfully on major routes, despite a shaky start being reported.
Accident Arrest
A man has been arrested by police investigating a road accident which left a man in hospital. The collision was on the Upper Newtownards Road in Belfast and took place at about 6.50am on Sunday. The victim, a man thought to be in his 20s, was struck by a car close to Oakland Avenue. A 23-year-old man has been held by the PSNI.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.
