Families Applaud As Double Killer Is Found Guilty
A court has today found a man guilty of stabbing two teenage friends to death, in a double murder that shocked Northern Ireland nine years ago.
The Co Armagh killings left David McIlwaine - who was just 18 - and Andrew Robb, 19, dead after leaving a disco in February 2000. The victims' bodies were dumped near Tandragee.
Today, Steven Leslie Brown, also known as Steven Revels, 28, of Castle Place, Castlecaulfield, was convicted of the brutal killings, despite having denied involvement.
The judge said they were two of the most serious murders he had dealt with.
Handing down his 93-page judgement, Mr Justice Gillen said that having watched Brown giving evidence, he had "no doubt whatsoever" that he had seen a man "whose hands had been engaged in the executions of these two young victims".
He warned Brown he could be going to jail for the rest of his life.
Brown showed no reaction as the verdict was delivered at Belfast Crown Court on Tuesday but the families of both teenagers applauded the verdicts and wept in the public gallery from where they had witnessed every day of the trial.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.
