Police Question Jersey Stabbing Suspect
A 30-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of six people in Jersey earlier this month, has been released from hospital into police custody.
Officers had been waiting to question a man, who has been named locally as Damian Rzeszowski about the attack, which left his wife Izabela, their children Kinga, five, and two-year-old Kacper, dead, along with Izabela's father Marek Garstki, 56, her friend Marta Dominika De La Haye, 34, and her five-year-old daughter Julia.
The attack took place in the island's capital St Helier on August 14.
Post-mortem examinations revealed that all six died from stab wounds. It is understood that Mr Rzeszowski has been in hospital since the attack, being treated for self-inflicted stab wounds to the chest.
A spokesperson for Jersey Police said: "The man, who has been under police guard in hospital while subject to ongoing treatment for his injuries since the incident at Victoria Crescent, St Helier, on Sunday, August 14, was declared well enough for discharge from hospital and, consequently, transferred to police detention."
