Comedy Writer Eddie Braden Dies Aged 82
Morecombe and Wise comedy writer, Eddie Braden, has died aged 82.
Braden is credited with helping achieve the success of the comedy duo, while also writing for David frost, Ronnie Corbett and Ken.
His manager confirmed he died on Tuesday following a short illness.
Two Pirate Site To be Blocked By UK ISPs
The main UK internet providers have been ordered to block access to two sites accused of breaking copyright laws.
The Motion Picture Association (MPA) won a court order to have the sites Movie2K and Download4All blocked, arguing that the two websites broke the UK's Copyright, Designs and Patents Act. Both the websites let people download or stream copies of recently released movies that have been ripped from DVDs.
Consultation Shows Residents Opposed To heathrow Expansion
A council consultation has revealed that residents in three London boroughs are against the expansion of Heathrow Airport.
72% of Hounslow residents said they were against expansion and 94% wanted noise reduction.
In Richmond and Hillingdon 71% of people objected to a third runway.
However, Heathrow Airport said the Hounslow consultation involved just 1.2% of the borough's population.

Music chameleon David Bowie has undergone an emergency heart operation following a health scare in Germany. The 57-year-old singer interrupted his European tour to undergo surgery to treat "an acutely blocked artery".

Protest Group Causing Traffic 'Chaos'
The main route into Swansea city has been shut down by an anti-fracking protest group who blocked access to a construction site at the city's university. Members of Reclaim the Power launched a protest at the construction site on Fabian Way – the main route into Swansea from the M4 – at 06:00 on Monday morning.

JLR Announce HQ Expansion
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced a plan to "double the size of its operations" at its Coventry headquarters. The company said that a completed land deal in Whitley will mean that it can expand its base from 55 acres, to almost 120.

Knife Found In Hairdresser Murder Investigation
Police investigating a fatal stabbing at a Gloucester hairdressers have recovered a knife, which they believe was the murder weapon. Hollie Gazzard (20) died after being attacked at Fringe Benefits in Southgate Street at around 18:00 on Tuesday.
