Broadcaster And Presenter David Jacobs Dies Aged 87
David Jacobs, acclaimed BBC broadcaster and presenter, has died aged 87.
According to the BBC, Jacobs died at home surrounded by his family.
He began his career at the BBC in 1945 and throughout the years, hosted shows including Housewives' Choice, Juke Box Jury and Any Questions.
He had retired from his latest Radio 2 show, the David Jacobs Collection, last month due to ill health.
It is understood that BBC Radio 2 will pay tribute to the broadcaster with a series of special programmes.

Dave Lee Travis Trial Begins
The trial of former BBC Radio 1 DJ Lee Travis has gotten underway in central London. Travis, whose real name is David Patrick Griffin, is charged with 13 counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault. The 68-year-old denies all charges. The trial is being held at Southwark Crown Court and is expected to last up to 6 weeks.

Jail Term Doubled For Stuart Hall
The Court of Appeal has doubled the 15-month sentence handed down to former BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall for a series of indecent assaults. Hall's original sentence of 15-months was ruled to be "unduly lenient". The 83-year-old had admitted 14 counts of indecent assault against girls aged 9 to 17, between 1967 and 1985.
