4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded Under Bristol Channel
A 4.1 magnitude earthquake has been recorded under the Bristol Channel.
The British Geological Survey said that the quake happened at about 13:21 on Wednesday and was felt in Devon, south Wales and Somerset.
The epicentre was north of Ilfracombe, Devon, and south of the Gower, in Wales, and was at a depth of 3.1 miles (5km).
Britons Women Curling Teams Wins Bronze
Team GB will equal their Winter Olympics medal haul after the women's curling team won bronze.
The British team took a 6-5 victory over Switzerland with their last stone in a medal play-off.
GB's men face Canada for gold at 13:30 on Friday and their guaranteed medal makes GB's haul of four their best at a Winter Games since 1924.
Rotherham Statue To Honour First Black Pro Footballer
A privately-financed statue to football's first professional black player is to be erected outside Rotherham United's New York Stadium, in South Yorkshire.
The statue will mark the 125th anniversary of Arthur Wharton signing for Rotherham Town in 1889.
Born in 1865 in Jamestown, Gold Coast, in what is now Ghana, Wharton played for Rotherham Town and Sheffield United among other teams during a career between 1886 and 1902.
The statue is by Graham Ibbeson, a sculptor from neighbouring Barnsley and is being financed by businessman Jim Cadman.

Whitehall War Office To Be Sold
A Ministry of Defence War Office building in Whitehall is to be sold to support "Defence priorities," it has been announced. The Old War Office was built in 1902 for the Imperial General Staff and was a focal point throughout the major conflicts of the 20th century. It housed numerous secretaries of state, including Winston Churchill.

Mountain Rescue Teams Help Stranded Motorists
Some 40 volunteers from three mountain rescue teams have helped police clear a road on the England-Scotland border after around 100 cars became stranded in heavy snow fall. It is understood the cars became stuck on the A68 due to the speed the snow came down.

Rescue teams searching for a missing 48-year-old man have found a body. Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team discovered the remains while searching for Simon Bally of Stoke-on-Trent, at the head of the Buttermere Valley on Tuesday.

Forensic archaeologists searching a former children’s home in Jersey have found two milk teeth. The teeth believed to belong to a young child were found in the Haut de la Garenne, the location under investigation for alleged sexual abuse and violence.
