The Sun Allegedly Drops Topless Page Three
The Sun newspaper is reportedly to change its long running topless Page Three feature.
According to a report by the Times, which shares a publisher with the redtop, last Friday's edition of the Sun was the last to feature a topless woman on page three.
The feature, which has run for 44 years, has been the subject of a recent campaign calling for it to end, with critics saying that it is sexist and outdated.
It is understood the Sun had already dropped the topless models from its weekend editions, and that Monday's paper featured a picture of model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in lingerie. It has been suggested that in place of topless models the paper will run photographs of models in underwear instead.
The paper's press office has not confirmed or denied the change.
