No Charges To Be Brought Over Glasgow Bin Lorry Crash
The Crown Officer confirmed there will be no criminal charges brought in regards to the Glasgow bin lorry crash, which killed 6 and injured 10 on 22 December.
The office said there was no evidence that wither the driver or the city council was to blame for the accident.
A fatal accident inquiry (FAI) into the tragedy will be held "as soon as possible".
80 Cyclists Killed In London Over Five Year Period
New figures from the Department for Transport (DfT) have revealed that 80 cyclists have been killed in London over five years to 2013.
The figures show there has been a total of 22,988 accidents across the city between 2009 and 2013.
Elephant and Castle roundabout in south London was the worst accident blackspot with 80 accidents involving cyclists.
In a statement, it said: "While we don't recognise the interpretation of these figures, we entirely agree that any accident on London's roads is one too many.
"That is why we are investing nearly £1bn in upgrading the existing Cycle Superhighways with greater segregation, introducing major new segregated cycle routes and backstreet Quietways, and overhauling dozens of junctions on both our roads and on borough roads."
Over £13,000 Raised For Abandoned Foal
More than £13,000 has been raised in a charity appeal to help pay for the care of a foal found on a roadside.
Gizmo was found in an "emaciated state" near a caravan park in Yeldham Road, Halstead, Essex on 17 February.
An appeal for £11,000 launched by the RSPCA, which would allow for ongoing care at a specialist equine clinic, has raised more than £13,000, with around 700 placing donations.

The move follows criticism of speed cameras which Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir John Stevens said were aimed at raising fine revenues rather than reducing incidents at accident blackspots.

A south London man has been jailed for 25 years for tying to shoot a policeman. Michael Mitchell, 32, of Babington Road, Streatham, was convicted of attempting to murder Pc Shaun Callow, possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Driver Arrested After Car Crashes Into Train At Level Crossing
An investigation has been launched into an incident in which a car collided with a train in Berkshire. British Transport Police have confirmed a car crashed into a train at a level crossing at Datchet in Berkshire at about 06:05 this morning. It is understood that the 67-year-old female driver was not injured in the collision.

Aircraft Causes Delays At Stansted Airport
Flights arriving at Stansted Airport have faced delays after landing equipment was damaged by an incoming flight. It is understood a Gulfstream G550 jet damaged a section of the airport's instrument landing system (ILS), but was able to land safely.

Two Killed In Light Aircraft Crash
A pilot and a passenger have died in a light aircraft crash near Wymeswold in Leicester, police have confirmed. Police were called by the ambulance service at 7.55pm last night. Officers are working in conjunction with the Air Accident Investigations Branch (AAIB) to investigate the cause of the crash.
