Man Charged With Murder Following Hotel Death
A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man at a hotel in Cumbria.
Police were called at approximately 3am after Terry Taylor, 59, was found injured at the Globe Hotel in Cockermouth on 31 May.
The victim was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Michael Sanderson, 30, of Arkleby Hall Cottages, Arkleby has been charged with murder.
He will appear at West Allerdale Magistates Court today 2 June.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

Hotel Plunge Man Cleared Of Son's Murder
A British man who leapt from a hotel balcony in Crete has been cleared of his son's murder. A Greek court ruled that John Hogan, 33, was "incapable" of murder or manslaughter because of his mental state. Both prosecution and defence lawyers had said that Mr Hogan should be sent to a psychiatric unit for treatment.

A man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man who died after an attack at a bus stop in the West-Midlands last month. The 35-year-old from Smethwick was charged and remanded in custody on Sunday, to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

Man Faces Baby Murder Charge
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby girl. Craig Jamieson, 28, from Scotscoun, appeared before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody. Mr Jamieson was arrested on Friday, shortly after the baby died in Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, after being taken from her home in Partick.
