Men Arrested After Shots Fired In Salford
Police have arrested two men in Pendleton in connection with an incident on the weekend.
Police responded to reports of gunshots at about 21:35 on Saturday, 01 August. It is understood that shots were fired at the door of an address on Douglas Green, Salford.
Armed response officers attended the scene and confirmed that damage to the front of the property had been caused by a firearm.
No one was injured.
Two men, aged 27 and 21, have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
They remain in police custody for questioning.

Eight Men Arrested Following Dawn Raids
Over 100 police officers have carried out a series of raids concerning child sexual exploitation offences in Oxford. Eight men were arrested following the raids at 6am this morning 2 June. Police are investigating approximately 60 offences in connection with the operation relating to female victims in Oxford between 1999 and 2007.

Kent Police, in partnership with officers from the Metropolitan Police Service, have arrested two men in East London on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robbery. On 3 May, Kent Police began a search for Michael Wheatley, 55, who had failed to return to HMP Standford Hill after being released on temporary licence.

At around 4.45pm on Wednesday, a 29-year-old man, of Asian origin, was sitting in a sliver Vauxhall Astra on Eccles Road when six youths on pedal cycles rode up from the A580, East Lancashire Road.
