Police to question man over Angelika murder
Police are preparing to question a handyman over the murder of Polish student Angelika Kluk.
A murder inquiry was launched after Angelika's body was discovered on Friday night, concealed within St Patrick's Church in the Anderston area of Glasgow.
The 23-year-old had last been seen around 2pm on September 24. She had been staying at the church while she was on holiday from her language studios course at university in Poland.
Peter Tobin, who had been working as a handyman at the church, was arrested by police in London on Sunday on an unrelated matter.
Tobin, a convicted sex offender, was arrested for failing to notify a change of name or address required under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Police have not revealed how Angelika died or whether she was sexually assaulted. However, Detective Superintendent David Swindle described the murder as "particularly violent and horrific".
Forensic teams are continuing to search the church.
