Brother held over fatal shooting of sister
A 12-year-old girl who was shot in the head at her house in Manchester has died in hospital.
The girl had been left in a critical condition in hospital after the shooting at the house in Wembley Road in the Gorton area of the city around 7:30pm on Monday night.
Her 16-year-old brother was arrested on Monday evening on suspicion of attempted murder and is being questioned by police.

Three-Year-Old Girl Survives Hertfordshire Shooting Incident
A three-year-old girl has survived a shooting in Hertfordshire that left three people, including a teenage boy, dead. Police were called to a house in Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday night around 9:40pm and found the victims - a 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 33 and 52. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

University gunman was 'disturbed loner'
The gunman who shot dead 32 people at a US college has been described as a loner, whose college work was "disturbing". Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old from South Korea, who had been resident in the US since 1992, was an English student at Virginia Tech who lived on campus.
