Man Dies In Blackpool Hotel Fire
One man has been killed and five other people have been injured in a fire at a hotel in Blackpool.
Twelve fire crews were called to the Manor Hotel on the Central Promenade around 3:30am on Monday when the fire broke out in the four-storey building.
It is understood that the man who died had been treated for a heart attack on the way to hospital, but later died.
It is understood that four people were treated for minor smoke inhalation, while a fifth person suffered more serious injuries, but they were not believed to be life-threatening.
The hotel was evacuated, along with neighbouring buildings, including the Waverley Hotel.
It is understood that everyone in the hotels has now been accounted for.
Fire investigators are now at the scene. The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Heroic Tyne Firemen Honoured
Two Tyne and Wear firefighters are to be recognised for their bravery at a special ceremony today. Andrew Nelson and Allan Richardson will be presented with the Chief Fire Officer's Commendations for brave and meritorious conduct after saving a man's life. The men took part in a dramatic rescue in the early hours of 4 February.

Firefighters launch four-day strike
More than 1,000 firefighters across Merseyside have begun a four-day strike in protest over planned job cuts. Another four-day stoppage is scheduled to begin two hours after the first one ends.

Cornwall Hotel Fire Suspect Released
A 21-year-old man arrested this week on suspicion of the murder of three people in a hotel blaze in Cornwall has been released on bail. Two men, aged 44 and 21, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the fire at the Penhallow Hotel in Newquay on August 18 last year. The older man remains in custody.

Suspicious Glasgow Car Fires
Detectives in Glasgow's East End are investigating a spate of vehicle fire attacks in the city yesterday. Shortly after 3.30am police were called to a report of a vehicle fire in Ashvale Crescent, Glasgow. Upon arrival police were advised by Strathclyde Fire Service that four vehicles had been damaged by fire.
