Man Arrested After Dead Baby Found
A 56-year-old man has been arrested after the body of a newborn baby was found at a house in Cheshire.
Detectives attended the address in Warrington, Cheshire, following the admission of a woman into hospital. She was admitted after complaining of blood loss and abdominal pains.
It is understood the woman had recently given birth.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "At 3pm on Tuesday a 35-year-old woman was admitted to Warrington General Hospital suffering from abdominal pains and significant blood loss.
"Initial medical assessment indicated she may recently have given birth.
"Cheshire Police were notified and inquiries took them to an address in Warrington where the baby girl was discovered."
The spokesman added the man who was arrested had been bailed pending further medical and police inquiries.

Changes To Disability Benefits Roll Out
Major changes to disability benefits are set to roll out today, but critics have claimed it will leave many worse off as a result. New claimants in areas of northern England will now receive Personal Independence Payments (PIP) instead of the previous Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

Hundreds of staff from NHS Logistics walked out on a 24-hour strike at 10pm on Thursday night in protest at the sale of the supply agency to German firm DHL. Kerry Katona has been released on police bail over an alleged assault. The star spent last night in custody after being arrested yesterday afternoon. It is believed the alleged incident took place in her home town of Warrington. According to reports, the man allegedly attacked was the celebrity's accountant.

Man Questioned Over Paris Hotel Death
Police are continuing to question a 39-year-old man in relation to the death of a Polish millionairess who was found beaten to death at a Paris hotel room. The man was arrested on Monday morning in woodland near Macclesfield, Cheshire. It is understood he had been living rough in a tent in the woodland.
