Katona Bailed Over Assault Claims
Kerry Katona has been released on police bail over an alleged assault.
The star spent last night in custody after being arrested yesterday afternoon.
It is believed the alleged incident took place in her home town of Warrington.
According to reports, the man allegedly attacked was the celebrity's accountant.
Katona, 28, was later detained at Hawthorne Business Park, Cheshire Police said.
The former pop singer was also questioned on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence.
After spending the night in a cell, she has now been bailed until 12 October.
The mother-of-four was cautioned by police two days ago on suspicion of possessing cocaine.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At approximately 3.50pm on Wednesday August 26, Cheshire Police attended a premises on Hawthorne Business Park in Warrington following a report of an assault.
"A 28-year-old woman from the Wilmslow area has been arrested on suspicion of assault, criminal damage and a public order offence.''
A spokesman later said: "A 28-year-old woman from Wilmslow has been released and granted police bail until 12 October at 9am pending further investigation."
She was held at Runcorn custody suite where she will return to answer bail next month, added the police spokesman.

Rod Richards, 61, a former Clwyd West MP has been accused of attacking the party worker who was canvassing door-to-door on Wednesday evening. He was held over night at Cardiff’s Fairwater Police Station for questioning.

Man Bailed Over Teenage Girl's Rape
A 29-year-old man arrested in connection with the rape of a teenage girl who later died in a fall from a motorway bridge days after the assault was reported, has been released on police bail.
