Police Seek Mother Of Abandoned Baby
Police are urgently seeking the mother of a baby who was found abandoned in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire on Tuesday afternoon. The baby girl was found in bushes on a piece of open ground in Oxford Road around 5pm. The child, who is white and believed to be no more than two days old, had been wrapped in a grey cardigan and placed inside a pink and white canvas bag. She is described as safe and well and is being cared for by staff at Wycombe General Hospital, who have named her Rosie. Thames Valley Police believe that the baby was left in the bushes between 12pm and 3pm on Tuesday and have appealed for witnesses to come forward. They are also appealing for the mother to come forward as the baby's umbilical cord was still attached when she was found, meaning that the birth would not have been medically supervised and that mother could suffer potentially dangerous complications as a result.
Investigation Launched Into Greater Manchester Factory Fire
An investigation has been launched into a blaze at a plastics factory in Bolton, which broke out on Tuesday night.Three fire crews tackled the fire, which broke out shortly after 10pm at the Robin Hood Mills on Lever Street in the Great Lever area. Firefighters had to wear breathing apparatus to enter the building and it is understood that the blaze caused damage to plastic mouldings, canopy and fascia. No-one was injured in the incident.
Man Arrested Over 'Cannabis Farm' Discovery
Police in Oldham have arrested a 28-year-old man following the discovery of a 'cannabis farm' in Failsworth. Police were called to a house in Victoria Street around 11:45am on Tuesday, following reports that a house and been broken into and a man was being attacked. Officers discovered that two masked men and broken into the property, but the occupant was not seriously injured. Around 70 cannabis plants were then found upstairs. A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and remains in police custody.

Missing Baby Found 'Safe And Well'
A nine-month-old baby girl who was reported missing from her home in Glouchestershire on Monday has been found safe and well. Maylayah Delaney had been reported missing by her mother shortly before lunch-time on Monday. Police have confirmed that a man from the West Midlands is helping them with their inquiries.

A five-month-old baby from London suffered 20% burns over his body while his mother relaxed on a beach beside him. The baby was taken to the Royal Sussex Hospital for treatment after he was spotted by a police officer on a beach in Brighton on Sunday, in temperatures of 25 degrees.

The mother of a child found abandoned in the toilets of an amusement arcade in Southport, has been arrested. The newborn baby was found by staff at Silcock's Amusements in Merseyside, last Thursday. The child is being cared for by staff at Ormskirk Hospital, Lancashire later, who have named her April.
