38 Engineering Jobs For Tyrone
38 jobs are to be created through a new engineering company in County Tyrone.
Blackrock Manufacturing Ltd has been set up in Coalisland by Pat O’Neill, founder of Dungannon firm Powerscreen.
Invest NI has offered £229,000 to support the 38 jobs and export marketing activity in Europe and the US.
The company plans to begin making track frames and supply parts to manufacturers in the earth-moving and demolition and recycling equipment markets.
It will then develop its own line of excavator buckets and hitches.
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster announced the investment.
She said: "County Tyrone has a strong manufacturing heritage and this new company adds to the region’s standing in this area.
"Blackrock Manufacturing will manufacture components that would otherwise have been sourced in China and Eastern Europe, therefore creating skilled engineering jobs in County Tyrone while building an export-focused business.
"The company also intends to develop innovative new products that will be marketed in Great Britain, Europe and the US and will provide opportunities for future growth."
Conor Monaghan, Blackrock Manufacturing Managing Director, said: "This is an exciting new venture and one that is bringing much needed jobs to County Tyrone. We are confident that we can grow the company over the next few years and achieve significant export sales.
"Jobs Fund and marketing support from Invest NI will help us to establish the company quickly to take advantage the opportunities that have been identified, particularly in the US."

Westland Horticulture To Create 70 New Jobs
Westland Horticulture has announced it is to create 70 new jobs in Dungannon as part of a £9.6 million expansion. The firm recently developed a new fertiliser manufacturing plant at Invest NI's Dungannon Business Park. It is also investing in new machinery and equipment, as well as a training and development programme.

Almost 200 jobs could go in Fermanagh
Almost 200 jobs could be axed if a County Fermanagh food plant is forced to close. Moy Park foods has said that it has entered into talks with staff over the possible closure of its factory, formerly known as Ferne Foods, in Lisnaskea.
