Fisherman Dies After Boat Capsizes In Lough Ree
A man has died after a boat he was travelling in capsized in Lough Ree in the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.
Another man who was also in the boat is critically ill in hospital and a third man is missing.
The three men, from a County Armagh angling club, had been planning to camp on an island in Westmeath when they got into difficulties.
Emergency services were called out at 15:20 GMT on Thursday after a local person raised the alarm. He said he was concerned about the men heading out in bad conditions.
The RNLI operations manager at Lough Ree said they are continuing to search for the missing man: "We'll go back to the search area again, where we left off yesterday evening, start again at View Point, we'll be assisted by people from Athlone Sub Aqua and Lanesborough Sub Aqua and some local anglers."
