Pipe Bomb Found In North Belfast
A pipe bomb has been discovered in north Belfast, according to the police.
A suspicious object was found in the Rosapenna Street area on Wednesday morning.
Police and Army bomb squad officers attended the scene and carried out tests.
All roads have been re-opened and residents have returned to their homes.
The pipe bomb has been taken away for further examination.
Sinn Féin MLA Gerry Kelly said: "There is no rationale or justification for such actions and the sooner those behind this incident realise that the better.
"Those responsible for this pipe bomb are attempting to drag us back to the past but they will not succeed.
"Thankfully no one was injured in this incident but it did bring considerable disruption to the area as a number of homes and businesses had to be evacuated.
"Whoever was behind this attack needs to realise that they do not have the support of the local community and they should stop these pointless actions immediately."
