Roselawn Cemetery & Crematorium Closed Amid Serious Gas Leak

Roselawn Cemetery and Crematorium has reopened following a serious gas leak on Thursday, 17 May.

The cemetery and crematorium in the south-east of the city was closed for a number of hours yesterday while emergency services investigated reports of a gas leak at the site. A wide cordon was established at the scene by firefighters.

A number of services had to be cancelled while the site was made safe, with Belfast City Council working with Funeral Directors to assist families affected by the situation.

The cemetery was re-opened later on Thursday and services planned for later that day expected to take place with some delays.
