Man remanded over Derry murder

A 41-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a 19-year-old man in Londonderry on Friday.

Police said that when charged Paul James Morrin, 41, from Galliagh Park said he had "nothing to say."

Gerald Martin O'Hagan, 19, was found stabbed in a flat in the Galliagh Park area of the city on Friday afternoon.

The accused was remanded to appear on February 23.

Police investigating the scene, came under attack from stone throwing youths as they tried to carry out their enquiries over the weekend.

Man remanded in custody charged with car park murder
A 32-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of another man in a Co Tyrone car park at the weekend. Gerard Patrick McKenna of Legane Road in Dungannon appeared at Dungannon Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with the murder of 21-year-old Sean Mimnagh on Sunday.

Man due remanded over cigarette find
A 32-year-old man has appeared at Newry Magistrates Court, charged in connection with possession of terrorist property. Patrick Brian Seamus Dynes, from Granemore Park in Keady, is charged with possessing property for the purposes of terrorism. The charge relates to the discovery of 15.

Man with fake handgun is remanded in custody
A Londonderry man has been remanded in custody charged with possessing an imitation gun with intent to commit robbery. Kevin Barry McClintock, 22, whose address was given as John Street in Londonderry, made no reply when charged.

Two remanded in custody over weapons find
Two people from south Belfast have been remanded in custody charged with the possession of weapons and explosives. The court heard that eight handguns, a semi-automatic rifle, 1,500 rounds of ammunition, 18 kilos of commercial explosives and a detonator were discovered at a house in Burmah Street in Belfast on Friday.
