Appeal Follows Nightclub Shooting
Police are appealing for witnesses following a shooting in Romford. Police were called by London Ambulance Service (LAS) to Exchange Street, Romford, close to Envy Nightclub, shortly after 03.15hrs on Friday 13 May, following reports of a shooting. On arrival officers found a 26-year old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg. He was taken to an east London hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable. Detectives from Trident are investigating. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call police. Enquiries continue, no arrests.
M4 Collision Investaigation Continues
Traffic police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision on the M4 Motorway in Brentford which left a man in a critical condition in hospital. On Tuesday, 10 May 2011 at about 20:40hrs, police were called to the westbound elevated section of the M4 motorway in Brentford following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle. The rider, a 53-year-old man from Hampstead, was treated at the scene before being taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition having suffered life threatening injuries. At this stage, no other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision. Detective Sergeant Harry Wilkinson, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am grateful for a number of people who stopped at the scene to assist the emergency services that night. This stretch of motorway was fairly busy at that time and I would urge anyone who may have seen the motorcyclist in the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to contact police."

Up To Four Suffer 'Life-Changing' Injuries In Troop Carrier Collision
More than 20 people have been injured, 4 or 5 seriously, in a collision involving three troop carriers on Salisbury Plain. Wiltshire Police were called to the accident at about 18:30 on Wednesday. The cause of the accident is being investigated but it is understood that 4 or 5 people have suffered "life-changing injuries".

Man Questioned Over Paris Hotel Death
Police are continuing to question a 39-year-old man in relation to the death of a Polish millionairess who was found beaten to death at a Paris hotel room. The man was arrested on Monday morning in woodland near Macclesfield, Cheshire. It is understood he had been living rough in a tent in the woodland.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.
