Man Stabbed In Neck At London Nightclub
A man has been left with serious injuries after being stabbed in the back of the neck during a music event at a nightclub in London.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was stabbed with a broken bottle and is now being treated in an East London hospital.
Police were called to the event hosted by smartphone company BlackBerry at Bankside Vaults nightclub in Southwark, central London, shortly after midnight.
The spokesman said a 25-year-old man had been arrested and was in custody.
A spokesman for Blackberry-maker Research in Motion (RIM), said: "Our first concern is the well-being of the individual concerned.
"We are doing all that we can to assist the police with their inquiries."

Man Shot Dead In London Nightclub
Detectives are appealing for information after a 24-year-old man was shot dead in a south London nightclub. The man was shot in the SE1 nightclub on Weston Street at around 5.40am on Sunday 5 October, where he had been on a night out with his friends. It is understood he was approached by a man who produced a gun and shot him once from close range.

Man Jailed For Attempted Murder Of Pc
A south London man has been jailed for 25 years for tying to shoot a policeman. Michael Mitchell, 32, of Babington Road, Streatham, was convicted of attempting to murder Pc Shaun Callow, possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Third man arrested in constable killing case
Police investigating the murder of special constable Nisha Patel-Nasri have arrested a third man in connection with their inquiries. A 35-year-old east London man has been taken into custody for questioing. Two men were arrested in connection with the murder of Mrs Patel-Nasri earlier this week.

Police shoot man during anti-terror raid
Police have shot a man during an anti-terrorism raid in east London. The 20-year-old man was shot during the raid at a property in Forestgate in the early hours of Friday morning. He was taken to the Royal London hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. He was later arrested in hospital.
