£30m Funding Announced For 3D Printing Centre
Funding of £30 million has been pledged to develop 3D printing and aerospace technology, chancellor George Osborne has announced.
Promising to "unashamedly" back British manufacturing, it is understood that the money will be used to create a national centre for 3D printing at Manufacturing Technology Centre in Ansty Park in Coventry.
The money being provided by the chancellor is expected to be matched by industry, doubling the total amount.
The funding is understood to be part of the governments £2bn aerospace investment.

The Bank of England has started pumping newly printed money in an attempt to ease Britain out of recession. The Bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has embarked on "quantitative easing" - the process of printing money - in an attempt to boost credit supply and encourage greater lending again from the banks and institutions.
