73-Year-Old Charged With Murder Of Neighbour
A 73-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man at a sheltered housing complex.
76-year-old Fred Hatch was found injured at Fairoaks in Dinas Powys in the Vale of Glamorgan last Wednesday.
He died in Cardiff's University Hospital of Wales a short time later.
Police believe that he had been attacked with a hammer.
Alan Rogers has been charged with his murder.
Mr Rogers was remanded in custody to appear before Cardiff Crown Court in December.

Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.
