Man Charged With Death By Dangerous Driving
A 27-year-old man is due to appear in Leeds magistrates charged in connection with the death of a man struck by a car on Monday.
James Gilbey (25) died after he was hit b a VW Golf on Stanningley bypass on Monday night.
Majid Malik, of Silverhill Avenue, Bradford, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Eight other men have been arrested as part of the investigation of Mr Gilbey's death, with a 28-year-old Bradford man detained on Thursday night.
Seven others are currently on bail.
Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Belton, of the Homicide and Major Enquiries Team, said: "I would like to thank the public for their excellent response to our appeals for information.
"I would also like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family of James, who are still trying to come to terms with their loss. Our specially trained officers will continue to provide the family with support at this very difficult time."

A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of PC Dave Phillips. Phillips died in the early hours of Monday, 5 October, after he was struck by a stolen pick-up vehicle in Wallasey, Merseyside. The vehicle mounted a central reservation before it hit the officer.

Man Charged With Murder Following Hotel Death
A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man at a hotel in Cumbria. Police were called at approximately 3am after Terry Taylor, 59, was found injured at the Globe Hotel in Cockermouth on 31 May. The victim was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Three Charged Over 2012 Death Of Man In Police Custody
A police officer and two civilian police employees have been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Thomas Orchard, who died a week after collapsing while in police custody. Mr Orchard (32) was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence on 03 October 2012 and taken to Heavitree Road Police Station in Exeter.
