Shot Fired And Three Men Tied Up In Co Down House

Police have launched an investigation after a shot was fired and three men were tied up by intruders at a house in Co Down.

The incident happened on the Park Road in Downpatrick on Wednesday.

Two masked men entered the property and tied up two men who were in the house at the time.

A third man who called at the house was also tied up.

The thugs threatened the men and fired a shot into a wall.

Detective Inspector Denise Graham said: "This was a very frightening incident for the men involved and they have been left shaken.

"No one has the right to intimidate or threaten another person.

"We would like to find those responsible and we are asking anyone who has information that may assist our investigation to contact us in Downpatrick on 101, quoting ref: 34 171215."

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.
