Family Escape Injury Following Arson Attack In L'Derry
A family have escaped injury following an arson attack in L'Derry.
The incident happened at a house in the Lower Bennett Street area just before 1.40am on Wednesday, 03 May.
It was reported that a pillow had been placed against the gas mains of the house and set alight.
Emergency services attended the scene and put the blaze out.
Damage was caused to the gas mains.
An elderly woman and her adult children who were in the property at the time were not injured, however they were left very shaken.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police believe old furniture was deliberately placed against the door of the property and set alight. The residents, who were in the property at the time, made there way out the back door.
