Police Appeal For Information Following East Belfast Shop Robbery

Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a shop on Connsbrook Avenue, east Belfast, which occurred yesterday, Wednesday, 23 July.

Detective Sergeant McGearty reported that shortly before 10:00, a masked man, armed with a knife, entered the premises and demanded that a staff member open the till. After taking a sum of cash and tobacco products, the suspect fled on foot. He was accompanied by a second masked man who had stood at the door during the robbery.

Both men are believed to have made off along Strandburn Street towards Victoria Park. The male who entered the shop was described as wearing a light blue baseball cap, a grey tracksuit, and black gloves. The second male was wearing dark-coloured trousers and a coat, also with black gloves.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information, dash-cam footage, or CCTV footage from the area that could assist the investigation to come forward. The non-emergency number to call is 101, quoting reference number 413 of 23/07/25.
